A Message From Our Founder:
Booster was born just weeks before the arrival of my first child. During the summer of 2014, my then-expecting wife shared frustration that our local gas station was unsafe, unsanitary, and unhealthy. She dreaded making the stop after work.
“Please take care of this errand for me,” she asked. It was this simple request that set me off on the journey of Booster: to eliminate the gas station errand for everyone, everywhere.
During our first decade, the established industry of fuel distributors and marketers viewed Booster with skepticism. Rightfully so. We were far from the first company to try and make the business model of delivering “little squirts” viable. After all, >90% of all fuel consumed is delivered at gas stations in sub-15 gallon “little squirts”. If you could serve this market, you could grow your business 10-fold, so many had attempted to solve this problem. None had cracked the code. And all before had failed.
Why the failure? Because there is simply too much friction between the customer placing an order and ultimate payment.

The entire process from ordering, scheduling, routing, dispatching, procuring, delivering, invoicing, and ultimately collecting is wrought with far too much risk, too much complexity, and too many manual steps to earn a profit on 15 gallons. Profit was only found in the small fraction of the market of big diesel trucks, heavy equipment, and onsite tanks.
But in 2014 we saw the potential of smartphones, cloud infrastructure, IoT, and Artificial Intelligence to flip the equation in our favor. So over the ensuing decade, we invested $100s of Millions in order to invent technologies that eliminate this friction, bring transparency and control to a long-opaque industry, and thus enable a massive expansion in our market. What DoorDash did for food delivery, and what Uber did for people transportation, we have built for energy.

We've worked with state legislatures to make fuel delivery safer for the communities where we all do business. And we've trained hundreds of Americans to get their CDL licensing and permitting that turns them into educated, highly skilled professionals right at home in their communities. We have made life just a little better with each of these relationships.
What started as a passion project for a few folks in Southern California is now a safe, environmentally forward-thinking fuel delivery service that keeps fleets of all sizes running. Along the way, we hit all the roadblocks: expensive fuel, faulty tankers, and inefficiencies with routes. And over the years, we found the right solutions. Now we’ve taken those solutions, and all that we learned from delivering millions of gallons, and built a platform that now powers our business. BoosterOS helps us deliver full tanks reliably to our clients when and where they need us.
